I’m ready for a more intensive approach to improving skin texture and tone, with results that build over time.
What is eCO2 and How Can It Improve My Skin?
eCO2 is an ablative fractional CO₂ laser resurfacing technology by Lutronic designed to deliver precise micro-ablations (tiny columns of tissue removal) in the skin to trigger deep remodeling. It treats pigment, wrinkles, acne scars, and more, while leaving intervening skin untouched to speed healing and reduce downtime. Over time, this stimulates new collagen and elastin production, smoothing texture, evening tone, and improving firmness.
Dr. Reyes-Villa, Olga Dzhulay, RN-BSN, and the Cataleya Aesthetics team are excited to offer eCO2 treatments. Reach out to schedule your consultation or appointment at (408) 613-2899 or book online.
eCO2 Benefits
- Reduces unwanted pigmentation:

- Improves acne scars, surgical scars, and textural irregularities California Skin Institute+1
- Evens skin tone and brightness
- Enhances skin firmness via collagen remodeling

- Ablative but fractional: less downtime than full-field CO₂ lasers
- Treats multiple zones: face, neck, décolletage, hands, arms, and more
What Makes eCO2 Different?
Lutronic’s eCO2 uses “fractional ablative CO₂” technology, meaning it creates micro-columns of ablation while leaving surrounding tissue intact. This speeds recovery and improves safety. Cynosure Lutronic+2California Skin Institute+2
It also offers adjustable settings—you can go more aggressive for deep resurfacing or more moderate for a “refresh” effect depending on the client’s tolerance and recovery desires. Cynosure Lutronic+2California Skin Institute+2
Because of its ablative nature, it can achieve more dramatic results for texture, deep wrinkles, scars, and pigment than many non-ablative devices, though with relatively more downtime. Cynosure Lutronic+1

eCO2 FAQ
What is the pricing of eCO2 treatment?
Pricing depends on depth, area(s) treated, and intensity. Precise quote is provided during the initial consultation. Each session may include serums or post-treatment care, depending on your protocol.
Am I a candidate for eCO2?
eCO2 is ideal for clients who have:
- Moderate to advanced sun damage or pigmentation
- Deep wrinkles or loss of elasticity
- Acne scars or surgical scars
- Texture irregularities
- Thicker skin zones (face, chest, hands)Candidacy also depends on skin tone, medical history, and realistic expectations.

- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Recent isotretinoin (Accutane) use — must wait an appropriate interval
- Recent deep tanning or sunburn
- Certain skin types or conditions (to be assessed in consultation)
What areas can be treated?
Common zones: face, neck, décolleté, hands, arms, and other areas with texture, pigment, or laxity concerns.
How many sessions are required?
Many clients see significant improvement after a single session; however, 1–2 treatments spaced months apart may offer enhanced results for more severe concerns.
How quickly will I see results?
Initial improvements in texture and tone can appear within days to weeks as skin heals. Collagen remodeling continues over months.
